The Winter Park Ski Music Festival is an event that features choirs from throughout the country, and it just happens to occur a few hours away! We are so excited to have been invited to participate this year, and have invited singers in SaberCat Singers, Tenth Bass  and Fossil Fusion to attend. This trip will take place from March 31-April 2, 2023. You may view the full itinerary here (updated coming soon) 

 

At this festival, choirs perform for adjudicators from various regions of the US, receive critique and ratings, and are ranked against other performing groups in their category of performance. Students also have the opportunity to either ski, snowboard, or participate in other related activities over the course of the weekend. The cost for this trip includes the below items:

• Transportation to and from Winter Park, and to Granby HS for the performance times

• 3 Day Lift Pass to Winter Park Ski Resort

• Skiing or snowboarding lessons if elected

• If you elect to not ski or snowboard, you receive 6 vouchers for any of the following items: Tubing on the hill at Winter Park, a Zephyr Express footpass, a $15 meal voucher, SnowCat tours, or guided downhill snowshoe tours

• Rental of all necessary equipment for skiing or snowboarding

• 2 night stay at the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch Group Cabin 

• Admission to the festival and performances, and the concluding awards ceremony and street dance

• 2 dinners 

• Travel insurance for the event

 

The total cost for this event is $600, or $550 if you have a ski pass that covers Winter Park. Additional information and permission slips will be coming home soon. We are excited for this amazing musical opportunity, and we thank you for your time and continued support of Fossil Ridge choirs!
